Working Futures

Launched in 2018 by the Wissenschaftskolleg and the International Research Center Work and Human Life Cycle in Global History (re:work), the transnational network Working Futures brings together sociologists, historians, philosophers, economists, law experts and anthropologists to discuss current transformations in the world of work and the epistemological challenges they raise for the historical and social sciences.

Blankensee-Colloquia

The Blankensee-Colloquia are international seminars on an inovative topic from the humanities and social sciences, organised by young scholars from the Berlin Brandenburg region. Under the key word "Cultural and social change" they foster research on processes of contemporary social and cultural change.

Anna Krüger Foundation

The Anna Krüger Foundation awards "an Anna Krüger Prize of the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin to a researcher who has written an outstanding work in good and understandable scholarly language".

Cooperations

Support for Ukrainian Scholars

Since the beginning of March 2022, the Wissenschaftskolleg has been able to support some Ukrainian scholars with fellowships, accommodation, logistical assistance or privately provided apartments or funds.

VUIAS - An Institute for Advanced Study for Ukraine

The Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, in close cooperation with partner institutes from Ukraine, Europe, and the United States, has launched an initiative to support Ukrainian scholars in their effort to found a Ukraine Institute for Advanced Study (UIAS) in Kyiv.
