Applications from early-career scholars from all nations and all disciplines in the social sciences and humanities are welcome.

The general prerequisites for an application are the same as for any other application for a fellowship at the Wissenschaftskolleg.

In addition, to be eligible to apply to this specific call applicants need a doctorate in an academic discipline belonging to the humanities or social sciences obtained no earlier than five years before the start of the fellowship. The reference dates for calculating the eligibility window are the certified date of the successful PhD and the starting date of the fellowship. Care work, career breaks, or part-time employment and other factors can be considered when calculating the five-year threshold upon request. We ask you to provide information about your employment history and supporting documentation if you want to make a claim for an exception to the five-year threshold.
