Becoming a Fellow

Researchers from all countries of origin, disciplines, and academic positions are eligible to become a Fellow at the Wissenschaftskolleg. Applications go through a thorough process with evaluations by an international advisory board. Each cohort of Fellows is assembled in such a way as to facilitate mutual inspiration across disciplinary boundaries and across different scholarly cultures.

The Rector and the administration ensure that the invited Fellows and their families can live and work under the most favorable conditions. Academic life at the Kolleg is shaped by the Fellows themselves and is ideally free from external obligations.
