In a recent editorial, The New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman wrote: I have never been to this Israel before. This captures the prevalent recognition that October 7, 2023 marks a watershed moment: reality in the region after Hamas's heinous attack will not return to be as before. The shockwaves reverberating in Israel, Palestine, and throughout the world invite deeper observations of cultural and political dynamics in these regions and a possible change in our thinking about the politics of the conflict. Philosopher Omri Boehm and anthropologist Michal Kravel-Tovi will discuss these aspects with journalist Sonja Zekri, seeking to illuminate social developments and scholarly implications after October 7.
