Stipend of the Stiftung Preußische Seehandlung (Prussian Maritime Trade Foundation)
In the context of a long-term research initiative, the Stiftung Preußische Seehandlung (Prussian Maritime Trade Foundation) seeks to investigate anew the historical significance of the Seehandlungs-Societät (Prussian Maritime Trading Company) founded in 1772 in its economic, political, and cultural dimensions and to make it accessible to a broad public. As part of this initiative, the Foundation supports an independent research project on the history of Prussia with a five-month short-term fellowship at the Wissenschaftskolleg.
The Fellow sponsored by the Stiftung Preußische Seehandlung in the academic year 2026/2027 is the historian Jutta Wimmler.
